Kaelyn's Story
Kaelyn got the city-building, post-apocalyptic game RimWorld for her birthday. She likes it because it’s a creative survival game.
She says, laughing as she plays: “I kind of identify, I guess, after what I’ve been through.”
Kaelyn got housing eight months ago. She describes her new place, a microstudio, like a small, minimal hotel room. Though spartan, she is thrilled to be in her own home.

Eight-year-old Philanthropist Raises Over $1,000 for Food Bank
There’s no age limit to generosity, as proved by 8-year-old Olive Wooster. The young girl from Seattle recently held a bake sale as her second-annual fundraiser for the Ballard Food Bank, raising much-needed food and funds to help our neighbors in need.

Important Update: New Hours Start September 18th!
Starting Monday, September 18th the Community Market will now open at 10 am along with the Kindness Café and Community Resource Hub. This will mean that when our doors open at 10 am, shopping will begin immediately. In addition, our evening hours will now be on Tuesday and Thursday instead of Monday and Thursday.
