Reserve a Shopping Time

To help decrease wait times, we are testing a new reservation system. A limited number of shoppers can sign up to shop at specific times without waiting in line.

This will not replace the current number system for walk-ins; walk-in visits will still be available. 

We are now taking reservations for shopping appointments. You may sign up 8 days ahead of your shopping date and time.

check-in process for Reservations

Please arrive 5 minutes before your shopping time to check in with the Front Desk.

If you have a 10am reservation, please do not join the general food bank line. Wait near the door and let staff know you have a reservation.

If you plan to visit other services at the Food Bank, please plan to do so before or after your scheduled shopping time.

You have 30 minutes to shop from the time your reservation begins. If you are late for the time you signed up, you will have less time to shop. If you miss your shopping time, you will need to wait in line as a drop-in guest or sign up for a different time to shop.

Registration for new guests

If this will be your first time shopping with us, please arrive 20 minutes before your reservation time to allow for our intake process.

Note: The information collected will not be used to share an individual's status with outside organizations. We use this information to report statistics of our guests as a collective to funders and to understand who is coming to Ballard Food Bank so we can best serve guests' cultural and dietary needs.

Information that is required on the form:

  • Full name

  • Birthdate

  • Zipcode

  • Full name of additional household members

  • Birthdate of all additional household members

The rest may be optional, but they do help us understand our guests better. We do not ask for proof of citizenship or residency. All are welcome at Ballard Food Bank.
