We Found Our New Home!

I am happy to announce that Ballard Food Bank has identified our new home!

After a lengthy search, we have agreed to purchase the property located on the corner of 14th Avenue NW and Leary Way NW, just a few blocks from our current building on 5130 Leary Avenue NW. We are thrilled to stay in the neighborhood with a central and easily accessible location.

A new building will provide a much-needed permanent home for Ballard Food Bank. It will be a vital community resource where our neighbors can get the food, hope, and dignity that they deserve. Now creating a welcoming, innovative space for the people we serve is our number one priority.

In the coming months, we will close on the purchase of the property, and begin work on design, entitlement, permitting, and eventually construction. We are excited to take this first amazing step and we look forward to moving before October 2021, when our current lease ends.   

We need our entire community to help make our new home a reality. Ballard Food Bank is launching an ambitious capital campaign to finance the property and we are looking for volunteers to join our campaign committee. Email or call me if you are interested.
