Board Member Spotlight: Geeta McCormack

We’re grateful to have Geeta McCormack as a Ballard Food Bank board member since the beginning of 2020. Geeta has lived in the Ballard/Broadview area for over 20 years with her husband Chris, daughter Maya, and their two dogs Cassie and Lily. “We support the Ballard Food Bank because it helps members of our community that are in need of assistance and resources. We passionately believe that a healthy community benefits everyone.”

Co-Founder and Managing Director of Forum Solutions, a consulting firm builds and implements effective strategies for transformative growth with sustainable results, Geeta said, “I was inspired to join the board because there has always been a great need for support in our community, which the COVD-19 pandemic has further exposed."

During her tenure as a board member, she has enjoyed working on the Hope Beyond Hunger campaign to raise funds to construct the new Ballard Food Bank home. She said, she is most excited that the campaign's success will allow the Food Bank to expand services to more people. Her goal is to ensure that she shares stories that emphasize our community's needs.
